SHOULD A SPIRITUAL LEADER CALL THEMSELVES A "GURU"?!

"Be careful what you call yourself! "

SHOULD A SPIRITUAL LEADER CALL THEMSELVES A "GURU"?!

I have heard and seen many call themselves "Guru " Before we can answer this question we must first learn what it is:

The word guru originated from the hindu language it is defined as:

The guru-shishya tradition is the transmission of teachings from a guru (teacher, गुरू) to a 'śiṣya' (disciple, िशष्य). In this relationship, subtle and advanced knowledge is conveyed and received through the student's respect, commitment, devotion and obedience. The student eventually masters the knowledge that the guru embodies. Also; guru: (Sanskrit) "Weighty one," indicating an authority of great knowledge or skill.

For clarity, the term is often preceded by a qualifying prefix. Hence, terms such as

*kulaguru (family teacher),
*vinaguru (vina teacher) and
*satguru (spiritual preceptor).

The originall text comes from the Hindu astrology, the teachers were not mere christian or followers of Christ, according to the hindu religion;

Hinduism is an ancient religion with no founder or known date of origin. The term "Hinduism" simply derives from the word "India" and refers to a wide variety of religious traditions and philosophies that have developed in India over thousands of years. Most Hindus worship one or more deities, believe in reincarnation, value the practice of meditation, and observe festive holidays like Diwali and Holi. Hinduism is a dominant religion of India that emphasizes dharma with its resulting ritual and social observances and often mystical contemplation and ascetic practices contrary to the word of God.

What is wrong with this practice, I believe Brihadaranyaka Upanishad exposed it best, when he said, 'When you hear about the Self, meditate upon the Self, and finally realize the Self...you come to understand everything in life.' It is a selfish religion, that edifies man and discounts God.

In Western usage, the original meaning of guru has been adopted to the point were we have let this imposter into the house (temple) of God. As to means of having a 'TITLE" to exemplify our authority or status. We want to be perceived as this great wonder following after the doctrine of '..realize the Self', look at my anointing, look at the souls I won to Christ, look at my congregation, etc. This title was adopted by the western secular world and was never suppose to be invited into a place that it was not originated in.

In this practice followers of gurus make offerings by praising the guru. Does this sound familiar, when a preacher falls; so do some of us, because we have put out praises in the created and not the Creator. This blog is to expose the spirit of darkness that comes in sheep clothing mingling with the stray sheeps to lead them off into the darkness. Those are the christians rather leaders or pew warmers that have gone off the righteous path, and if not restored quickly through accountability to the word of God. The spirit of darkness finds his way to persuade the sheep away, he does this by looking the part. Look like another sheep, sounds like another sheep, yet underneath the sheep clothing is pure wolf skin. The bible says, there is a way that SEEMS right to men but it only leaves the person to ruin when sin gives birth.

I just like to say to you I believe why power is leaving the church; the organism not organization, is because we are committing adultery on God with other familiar spirts that look godly and sound godly but no where is God in it. And because God is not in it (temple) we have invited principalities and powers, rulers of darkness and spiritual wickedness in high places to encamp themselves in unsurrender areas of our life. Making out power renderless...aka !!!WATERED DOWN!!!

I can attest the people I have seen wear this title have that familiar spirit of (SELF) they are conceited; exemplifying a high self-center dependence on what they call their wisdom, revelation, discernment and power and not to exclude having this higher view of themselves. And every now and then trying to show godliness being giving this mediocre praise to God occasionally. But 9 times out of ten giving the praises to themselves. I call it the case of the 'ME's, MY's, and I's. They wear it on them without saying a word, their garments look like this, they want to be seen, and they want to be the center of attention, they come in expecting front row seat or a place in the pulpit. You have seen them, they wear conceit as there garments.

Not knowing that they have, "Giving foothold to the enemy"  and giving their hands to the cuffs of sin, many times they do not even realize or able to recognize it because they have gradually been drawn in or have been captured (BOUND).

So next time you feel "lead" to  use terms that sound like they are "POWERFUL" over others lives. You might want to look up and even consider exactly what 'power' you are giving entry to in over your life.

I have to stop here because of time but be sure to check back periodically to the conclusion of "Watch what you call yourself!"
