Season Greetings from LaTonya!

Wow! I am so excited as we are only weeks away from exiting 2010, I must say this year was full of faith encountering times. As always, I am so ever grateful to the LORD for continually remaining faithful in keeping His word in my life, and increasingly transforming my mind and conforming my life into the image of His dear Son, Jesus Christ.

Sha'Tavia, my twin daughter, has continually grew in her passion as a dancer for the last 6-7 years while attending school. She has recently graduated, this past summer, from highschool and was accepted into a dance major college to obtain her degree.

Jerevon, my 'yunging', is in his third year in his french academic and still has great love for playing instruments, he has picked up an interest in the bongos and guitar this year. This is my child whom I am well please, it is a blessing to have him in my life and I don't know what I would do with out him. As I continue to see the hand of GOD over his life, I pray always that God's grace be with me in every word that comes out of my mouth and action that comes out of my life in nurturing and guiding him in the ways of the LORD. Parenting is something I never take for granted, it is a priviledge to be able to be a steward over the precious gift(s) that GOD has allowed me to have grace my life.

In this coming 2K11, I believe the LORD has been placing it on my heart that this is the year of EPIPHANY. Before you can grasp that you have to know the meaning, Epiphany is when GOD sudden begins to reveal or give insight, suddenly to an individual. In other words, the things that seemed to have been hidden will now be revealed a.k.a. M-A-N-I-F-E-S-T-A-T-I-O-N!!!!!

In 2K11, we are going to 'see' a great revealing of the supernatural in the earth realm, a SUDDEN REVELATION!!! The things that seems like it been caught up, backed up, and stopped up. God is going to bring the increase!!! E.P.I.P.H.A.N.Y.!!!!

Also, I at this time I would like say thank you, thank you, thank you!!!!!! To everyone that contributes to this ministry rather it be through your financial support, prayers, encouraging words via inboxes, emails, text messages, phone calls, visitations, ministry support, i.e., and to everyone that is connected to this ministry!

Continue to follow me as I follow Christ and whatever you have learned or received or heard from me, or seen in me--put it into practice. And the God of peace will be with you. (Philippians 4:9).

As I end this note, I want you to begin to prepare yourself for what is coming up in 2k11, begin to see what GOD is about to reveal in you, through you and to your life.

... because greater is He that lives in you!

Happy Holy-days! LaTonya & Jerevon

For unto us a child is born, unto us a son is given: and the government shall be upon his shoulder: and his name shall be called Wonderful, Counsellor, The mighty God, The everlasting Father, The Prince of Peace.- Isaiah 9:6

Advice from Prophetess Elias on 'How to Start Fasting and Prayer' - Saturday, November 27, 2010 at 2:37am

Q: Mrnin beloved of Jesus., cn u mby give me some advice how to start my fasting and prayer."When you fast..." Matthew 6:16

A: You should properly prepare your body for the fast and come off of it. Also, make sure you include your Bible, Word inspired music and I like to keep a journal to keep records. Also, make sure you have a specific reason why you want to fast. If you don't know why you're doing this, it will all be in vain -- spiritually. Are you having trouble at home, at your work place, in your walk with the LORD and you need some answers? Maybe you are just thankful to the Lord for something and you want to fast just because He's been good to you! Whatever the reason make it specific. Prayfully ask the LORD to:

1. Give you wisdom on what type of fast you should do. The most common kind of fast is not eating anything, but some people do "media" fasts where they don't watch TV or listen to music or read the newspaper for a period of time. It will solely depend on the greater sacrifice for your personally.

2. Choose how long your fast is going to be. If you are just beginning to fast, try fasting for twelve hours, such as from 6 a.m. to 6 p.m. You can drink juice and water, but don't eat anything.

DURING THE FAST: I like to begin my fast day with prayer. Even throughout my fast and pray day, I setup an appointed time to pray to the LORD. When you are in prayer, make sure you are somewhere where you will not be distracted! Most definitely, make sure you read the Bible, or word based content -- it renews the mind and takes authority over this un-redeemed flesh that tries to rise up. The Bible calls it TRANSFORMATION! Also, I love GOD's WORD thru MUSIC!!!!! You can listen to spiritual or gospel music as you wash dishes, or have a video or CD of a favorite minister playing. At all cost keep your focus as much as possible tuned inward to be open to the LORD.

Most of all, pray for patience, you must be patient as you wait for your answer. It is a sign of humility before GOD. Your answer may not come during or at the end of your fasting and prayer period. But know He is working out all the kinks behind the scene!!!! He will answer you prayer if it is according to HIS will!!!!

RECOMMENDATIONS:

  • I use a journal to record my prayers and the events of my fasting and pray.

  • Not recommended but, highly suggested that you have a prayer partner while you're fasting. You can pray together, and this will be beneficial when you're feeling weak, you have someone to call. Most of all, There Is Power In Agreement. =)

  • Make sure you consult with a doctor if you have health issues. And, if you have dietary restrictions or are on medication, use "Common Sense" when it comes to going without food for a period of time. ;;))

Grace and peace be unto you!!!!! ~ ELIAS

THE POWER OF PRAISE!!! - Tuesday, November 2, 2010 at 12:53pm

To appoint unto them that mourn in Zion, to give unto them beauty for ashes, the oil of joy for mourning, the GARMENT OF PRAISE for the spirit of heaviness;..." Isaiah 61:3 Praise is like foreplay in a marriage -- it invokes God's presence.

PRAISE IS POWER

A garment in the [14th century. is defined as < French garnement "equipment" < garnir (see garnish)] EQUIPMENT!!!!

When an individual has equipment, they are equipped with what is necessary for a particular activity or purpose. So GOD said he has appointed to ZION that is mourning aka in a period of sadness; ... the GARMENT OF PRAISE, in others words the equipment that is needed in that hour -- IS GIVEN WHEN WE PUT ON (GARMENT OF) PRAISE! Catch that?! When we praise (brag about) GOD beyond our flesh out of our spirit man -- in the midst of our state, first of all we are showing admiration and approval that we are allowing HIM to be in control.

Praise is like foreplay in a marriage -- it invokes God's presence. It gets God's attention, it creates an atmosphere. Psalm 22:3 says that God inhabits the praises of His people, so when God's people praise Him, He draws near and we go into the next level of intimacy -- war-ship (worship) results. Worship Is the Ultimate Intimate Experience!!! I may touch on that in a later note. But, God's presence comes through our praise. Praise is a sacrificial offering to God, the spiritual "first-fruits" of our lips.

When we are are going through the spirit of heaviness, this is the very time we should want the presence of the LORD.

One way to look at praise is to think of it as "bragging" on God. When we praise the Lord, we are telling Him all the good and wonderful things about Himself. Praise is bragging on God's nature, attributes, and character; it is agreeing with God concerning what He has already told us about Himself. When we praise (brag about) God, His presence comes near, and in His presence all HIS true glory can be released. We cannot create this environment of praise completely on our own. That's why Christ gave us His Spirit. Praise (brag about GOD) is something we can do anytime, anywhere -- that is why the bible calls it a garment. There is an inseparable link between our praise and the manifest presence of God.

When we lift up praises (brag on GOD) we are agreeing with God concerning Himself.ATTRACTING THE PRESENCE OF GOD'S SPIRIT

If I don't make anything else clear in this note, I want to bring clarity the importance of the presence of God. It is one thing to know of God's omnipresence, but quite another to experience the reality of His personal presence on a daily basis. Before meat or drink or anything else for that matter, we need the presence of God!!!! Everything else in life DEPENDS on God's presence!!!!

When we praise (brag) about God we are acknowledging His sovereignty and Lordship as well as our own dependence on Him.That spirit of humility is just what God is looking for in us. If we approach God with a humble spirit He will do two things: 1.) When we come near God, 2.) He will come near to us; and when we humble ourselves before Him, He will lift us up. This atmosphere gives GOD a place where HE WANTS to dwell, He feels appreciate and at home, in that believer.

When we lift up praises (brag on GOD) we are agreeing with God concerning Himself. Praise reverses sin because we now are agreeing with God in His own words. So when we say, 'Oh Lord, You're awesome', He says,' I agree with that. I'm coming closer.' When we say, 'Oh Lord, You're GOD all by yourself', and He says, 'Finally, You agree with Me! I'm coming closer.' HALLELUJUAH!!!

Praise (bragging on GOD) is always positive. It reflects our relationship with HIM out to others.

Which brings me back to our foundation scripture, this praise (bragging on GOD) is what causes the spirit of heaviness to fall; because the presence of GOD draws near the believer and causes things to change. He begins to endow the believer with the beauty of His holiness (a splendid light that is display within the life of the believer for a witnesses' to see that GOD is with them in the midst of their mourning) and the oil of joy -- (the joy of the LORD is our strength). Some would call it the extended grace of GOD; that allows the believer to become the overcomers that Christ has declared in Revelation 12:11.

In essence, this is the time that the glory of GOD can be exemplifed to the world; even in the time of losing a loved one, He will use that lost to show the world He is still GOD.

...And that is the POWER OF PRAISE!!!!

WHAT IS THE HOLY GHOST BAPTISM?

What is the Holy Ghost? Holy_Spirit

First of all, He (The Holy Ghost) is not an "it". He is the third person of the Trinity - The Father, The Son, and The Holy Ghost. I Corinthians 12:4-6 defines the work of the Divine Trinity as gifts by the Holy Spirit; administrations by Jesus Christ; and operations by GOD the Father.

What does the Holy Ghost do?

Acts 1:8 says, "But ye shall receive power, after that the Holy Ghost is come upon you: and ye shall be witnesses unto me." The scripture "ye shall be witnesses unto me" is saying that with the power of the Holy Ghost you will be able to live in line with GOD's Word. You will able to let the love of Jesus Christ show in your life. Because of the Holy Ghost, you will not be ashamed of Jesus Christ regardless of where you are or who you are with.

Your life will always be a witness for Jesus Christ. Matthew 10:32-33 says, "If you will not confess me before men, I will not confess you before my Father" It is impossible for you to be an effective witness for Christ without the power of the Holy Ghost.

The Holy Ghost is a Promise from God

Acts 1:4-5 Jesus gave instructions to his disciples saying, "Wait for the promise of the Father, which saith he, ye have heard of me. For John truly baptized with water; but ye shall be baptized with the Holy Ghost not many days hence." John 14:25-26 Jesus says, "These things have I spoken unto you, being yet present with you. But the Comforter, which is the Holy Ghost whom the Father will send in my name, he shall teach you all things, and bring all things to your remembrance, whatsoever I have said unto you."

Luke 11:11-13 Jesus says, If a son shall ask bread of any of you that is a father, will he give him a stone? Or if he ask a fish, will he give him a serpent? Or if he shall ask an egg, will he offer him a scorpion? If ye then, being evil, know how to give good gifts unto your children; how much more shall your heavenly Father give the Holy Spirit to them that ask him?

Acts 2:33 says "Therefore being by the right hand of GOD exalted, and having received of the Father the promise of the Holy Ghost, he hath shed forth this, which ye now see and hear." Acts 2:38-39 states "then Peter said unto them, Repent, and be baptized every one of you in the name of Jesus Christ for the remission of sins, and ye shall receive the gift of the Holy Ghost. For the promise is unto you, and your children, and to all that are afar off, even as many as the Lord our GOD shall call."

Understanding and Speaking in Tongues

The gift of speaking in tongues, just like the gift of salvation is given freely by GOD. You cannot work for it. You cannot earn it. You do not have to tarry or wait for Him. Acts 2:1-4 tells us that when the day of Pentecost was fully come; the Apostles all with one accord were all filled with the Holy Ghost, and began to speak with other tongues, as the Spirit gave them utterance.

Benefit of Speaking in Tongues

According to Romans 8:26-27, we find that when the Spirit prays, he makes intercession for us with groanings which cannot be uttered. And he (Christ) that searcheth the heart knoweth what is the mind of the spirit, because he maketh intercession for the saints according to the will (or Word) of GOD. In other words, when your spirit prays, you pray the perfect prayer.

I Corinthians 14:2 the Word of GOD tells us "For he that speaketh in an unknown tongue speaketh not unto men, but unto GOD: for no man understandeth him; howbeit in the spirit he speaketh mysteries." When you speak in an unknown tongue, you speak directly to GOD. Satan cannot understand or interfere with this prayer. An example of Satan interfering is while praying, your prayer would be interrupted with crazy thoughts and you quickly forget what you are praying for or what you are praying about.

Your unknown tongue is your personal way of communicating with GOD.

How I Was Bathed By HIS Presence!

imacartoongreat I wanted to take this time to share with you my own experience with JESUS, my grandfather was a Christian, my father is a Christian, but I did not have that as a background for my own life. I had a few experience in church, in my infancy/ toddler stage, being my grandfather was founder and senior pastor of a congregation, but the tradition seemed a bit indifferent to me and I really could not relate to that form of gathering. So after my parents divorce I pretty much start living an unstable life. I was tossed house to house, school to schools, and exposed to so many uncertainties. You know???

And as far as GOD, I didn’t really know what that term meant, but somewhere inside after hearing about him, made me interested in him. Problem was I did not know exactly where to find the answer, my soul craved. Even at the young age of 10, GOD was with me stirring me along, giving me the desire to go to some churches on my own. I remember when I was about 13 years old, when I reunited with my mom after she return to the city, we relocated and there was this one specific church I had seen and I begin to say to myself I’m going to start going there. I did visit once but it still did not have what my soul needed. SO I never returned. Long story short, I went through many unfavorable events that no child should have to be exposed to, yet looking back, I can still see that GOD hand was with me through it all.

The year of 1999 I went through a devastating event with someone close to me that sent me into a deep depression, I became suicidal, and disconnected, & I thank GOD, now, that I he had given me the wisdom to make sure my children was no where expose to this while I was going through this trial in my life. Man! I thought that this was the end of the world and I figured I could not get any lower than I was at that time. I remember that my dad would invite me to church on several occasions and I would just say, ”ok, okay well for now just take the twins”, thinking deep inside I was not worthy of going through those church doors. Furthermore I knew I did not look the part, and I did not want to experience anymore rejections than I had already been through in my life.

Eventually the LORD put that desire in me again to know him, as I had so long ago craved for. So he begins to continually confirm this through prophetic encounters which led me to eventually start asking questions about church, and even got some recommendations where to visit and I ended up at this one particular church and they were some hand-clapping, tongue talking, foot stomping, devil bashing folks up in there, OMGOSH!!! It was an environment of freedom. The liberty that 10 year old girl In me had been searching for, soooo long ago. I can’t even tell what that man of GOD said, all I know when I walked in those doors I knew deep in my heart, whatever the GOD of this church had to offer I wanted it. As I thought, I was at the end of my wit and things couldn’t get any worst for me.

When the altar call came forth I took the hands of my twins who were about 7 at the time and walk to that alter and did externally what I had already decide in my heart weeks ago, internally. And that was the greatest choice, out of my 22 years at that time that I ever made. And from that day forward the fire of GOD has been growing in me in an increasing way. And that is how I came to know the LORD!!! And I long the same thing for you that you begin to experience being bathed by presence GOD!!!

CAN I FALL FROM GRACE?

God made him (Jesus) who had no sin to be sin[a] for us, so that 3712775996_92b7e19101 in him we might become the righteousness of God. Corinthians 5:21

First I would like to talk about man's greatest problem, man's greatest problem was sin.

God is holy and sin would not be able to withstand a Holy God, it is out of protocol in the spiritual dimension. So, can you fall from grace, the answer is: "Yes!" you can lose your grace. It is written nothing shall pluck you out of God's hands but, you can surely walk out of them.

Read the Protocol Son he had access to everything the Father had yet, he "CHOOSE" to walk contrary. It was only when he learned obedience from the things that he suffered was he able to experience his need for his Father and reconcile to him, where grace was made available to him. The bible says grace only comes by faith. No Faith, No Grace!!!

4But God, who is rich in mercy, for his great love wherewith he loved us, 5Even when we were dead in sins, hath quickened us together with Christ, (by "grace" ye are saved;) 6And hath raised us up together, and made us sit together in heavenly places in Christ Jesus: 7That in the ages to come he might shew the exceeding riches of his grace in his kindness toward us through Christ Jesus. 8For by "grace" are ye saved "through faith"; and that not of yourselves: it is the gift of God: 9Not of works, lest any man should boast. Ephesians 2

But what is grace?

Grace is this:
1Now, brothers, I want to remind you of the gospel I preached to you, which you received and on which you have taken your stand. 2By this gospel you are saved, if you hold firmly to the word I preached to you. Otherwise, you have believed in vain. 3For what I received I passed on to you as of first importance...

Only when you believe this and allow it to govern your life, not just hearing but, out of faith receiving it by using it in your own life. When you fall down can you obtain "GRACE" and keep it? Paul explains it best:

[a]: that Christ died for our sins according to the Scriptures, 4that he was buried, that he was raised on the third day according to the Scriptures, 9For I am the least of the apostles and do not even deserve to be called an apostle, because I persecuted the church of God. 10But by the grace of God, (through what Christ did for my sins) I am what I am, and his grace to me was not without effect. No, I worked harder than all of them—yet not I, but the "grace of God that was with me". 11Whether, then, it was I or they, this is what we preach, and this is what you believed.-paraphrased

Paul was persecuting the church unto death yet how was he able to be still be effective for Christ, it is in this: I know the inheritance that is in Christ therefore I am cashing in on everything that the blood has done for me; every chance I get. Now that same power that saved me is living in me and working in my stead.

THE GOSPEL OF JESUS CHRIST IS THE "GRACE" THAT WAS WITH HIM AND THIS IS WHAT HE AND WE PREACH: CHRIST (for it is the very resurrection power of God)

So if you do not believe this preaching there is no more grace given. This is it, that is why it is grace only through faith. If you have no belief in your heart, nor outer reflection by mouth and actions, once again, no faith, NO GRACE. Faith is an action word, you have to use faith, and for those who do not agree. I will use my witness Jonah who wrote these words:

7 "When my life was ebbing away, I remembered you, LORD, and my prayer rose to you, to your holy temple. 8 "Those who cling to worthless idols forfeit the grace that could be theirs. 9 But I, with a song of thanksgiving, will sacrifice to you. What I have vowed I will make good. Salvation comes from the LORD." Jonah 2:7-9 (NIV)

The Father has made grace, through the preaching of Christ available to all, because it is written: it's not the will of the Father that anyone not one perish, but because of their ignorance of Christ, a unbelievers grace is forfeit. However, Jonah knew how to tap into grace and only by this grace through faith are you saved!

The Prostituting Church Age

And he spake a parable unto them, Can the blind lead the blind? shall they not both fall into the ditch?Luke 6:39 (King James Version)

There is a prostitution ring going on in the 'church age'... the pulpit is pimping the pews and prostituting the word; speaking with enticing words. And the pews is pimping the pulpit and prostituting their own souls, having itchy ears.

According to wikipedia, A pimp is an agent for prostitutes who lives off their earnings. The pimp-prostitute relationship can be abusive, with the pimp using 'PSYCHOLOGICAL INTIMIDATION, MANIPULATION and PHYSICAL FORCE -- example pulpit prostitution: "If you don't tithe you robbing GOD and you going to split hell wide open", example of pew prostitution: "If you don't preach more about this I am going to vote you out/ stop tithing/ leave the church!"-- to control the prostitutes he sends out to work.

Also, pimps are known to tattoo their prostitute as a mark of "ownership", sound familiar? It sounds like this, the 'people of GOD' become the 'members of man'. Not knowing the blind is leading the blind, and they are both headed for the ditch; misleading one another.

Bottom Line: IT'S TIME TO *WHOLEHEARTEDLY* SET OUR AFFECTIONS BACK TO GOD...

Supportive Scriptures: My message and my preaching is NOT WITH WISE and PERSUASIVE WORDS, but with a demonstration of the Spirit's power... [1 Corinthians 2:4]

For the time will come when they will not endure sound doctrine; but after their own lusts shall they HEAP TO THEMSELVES teachers, HAVING ITCHING EARS;... 2 Timothy 4:3 [King James Version]

Their eyes are blinded, their hearts are hardened, So that they wouldn't see with their eyes and perceive with their hearts, And turn to me, GOD, so I could heal them. John 12:40 [MSG]

Wholeheartedly: without reserve; without reservation;... princeton.edu

Why do you look for the living among the dead?

Luke24_4-5

Luke 24:5-6 (New International Version)

5In their fright the women bowed down with their faces to the ground, but the men said to them, "Why do you look for the living among the dead? 6He is not here; he has risen! Remember how he told you, while he was still with you in Galilee:…

Dear Friends,

Just a quick declaration to say, “Our Savior has indeed risen!” I hope that you  joined fellows believers alike today as we celebrate Jesus the Christ defeat over death and sin and fulfilling His ultimate plan of redeeming man on the Cross.

Also, I would like to take this time to invite you to join myself along with others for our online "Week of Prayer & Fasting" starting today thru Saturday (daily) Info: http://bit.ly/QOCeS

This week, as we pray together for our neighborhoods, our communities, our cities, our states, our country and its leaders, as well for our military -- let's remember the ONE who conqueror death and the grave, and now sits eternally at the right hand of GOD representing your case. So on that day glorious day when GOD’s wrath shall be released on HIS enemies, JESUS will step in the middle and say, ‘this one is mine, so don’t do it to them because you already did it to me!”

He is the only WAY and ONE who is able to pacify GOD’s wrath, and at the same time absorb HIS punishment in our stead. Just make sure you are HIS. Have a blessed Resurrection Sunday because blessed is HE!!!

It is Christ who died, and furthermore is also risen, who is even at the right hand of God, who also makes intercession for us. (Romans 8:34)

'DON'T MUZZLE THE OX THAT TREADS OUT THE GRAIN!

Do not muzzle an ox while it is treading out the grain. Deuteronomy 25:4 (NIV)

As I was reflecting on how God has move me into new dimensions in Him I was discussing with the Holy Spirit of God why we do as He says out of will and obedience and we are muzzled or someone comes behind us and water down what was meant to sting.

God took me back to "Freedom River" you see freedom river was a old cartoon I purchase for about a buck at Wal-mart for my toddler. This DVD had many historical cartoons on it but this one particular Chapter drew my attention. I will expound as I go through this story to give you the hands on what was revealed to me.

The story was about a river that brought freedom and this river spreaded to places where currents of rivers were weak and dying. (the lost) They begin to long to come to this river. (salvation)
However, they did not know the power of freedom (salvation) is GREAT!!!

Matthew 10:34-39 (New International Version)
...38and anyone who does not take his cross and follow me is not worthy of me. 39Whoever finds his life will lose it, and whoever loses his life for my sake will find it.

They began to taste the waters of freedom (salvation) and were refresh (this can represent after salvation tasting the goodness of the Lord.) As long as this river flowed their was hope and abundance, however, if this river cease to flow it will decay and die.

The land begin to prosper and after so long the people got CONTENT! (Lax in the things of God) Pride grew. (That is when you start hearing my, my, my., it turns to my ministry, my congregation, my stuff) This pride grew so much it blinded the people and they became arrogant and foolish. (Nobody can tell them anything at this point when sin gives birth) They begin to covet after the river. (This is the person that gorges the word of God and never shares it with those that is lost, they are spiritually gluttoners.)

Strangers were not deserving in their eyes and they ridicule the people that had new ideas. (They become critical and ungrateful) They begin to take more then there share (given to filthy lucre/dishonest gain) and not helping others, instead they despised and chastise them (Forget where God has brought them from and begin to look down on others), The water begin to get cloudy and they could see not because pride blinded their eyes. (My way or no way/Haughty spirit!!!)

Until a wise man notice the waters were cloudy, he try to tell them but they did not hear him. He tried again and they shut him up for his vision infuriated them. Hear is where the spirit of God revealed to me that this is why when the spirit of God uses me to counteract/diffuse the devils devises, he uses people with influence to water it down to accommodate "their plan". So to speak I got in their business, they do not want accountability...

The story goes on they loved the stream even though the river grew weaker and weaker. (They have got comfortable with their sin) Hope was dying and energy wavered. (Double-minded man, I call this place where you start finding was to pervert the word of God to justify or avoid judgment) Until they final came to reality and finally their eyes were opened, which caused them to become confused. (To me this represents the war in the spirit between the Spirit of God and the spirits of the enemy, who are by the way possessive) In this story they eventually got connect back what it took or what work to substance this river to flow.

Moral of this story was: TO MUCH FREEDOM CAN CAUSE DISORDER!!!

What was revealed to me watching this childhood cartoon is this, it is reminded me of:

Nehemiah 9:25-27 (New International Version)
25 They captured fortified cities and fertile land; they took possession of houses filled with all kinds of good things, wells already dug, vineyards, olive groves and fruit trees in abundance. They ate to the full and were well-nourished; they reveled in your great goodness. 26 "But they were disobedient and rebelled against you; they put your law behind their backs. They killed your prophets, who had admonished them in order to turn them back to you; they committed awful blasphemies. 27 So you handed them over to their enemies, who oppressed them. But when they were oppressed they cried out to you. From heaven you heard them, and in your great compassion you gave them deliverers, who rescued them from the hand of their enemies.

Most time we fall short of the glory of God because we get too comfortable with Him. God is eternity and like my old pastor says: "it will take all of eternity to know Him". So how much more in this earthly suit do we need to stay in tuned on a daily or regular basis to the hem of God and the mouth of the one that is sent.

Just as the wise man that was vulnerable enough to see. We need to be vulnerable enough to allow the Spirit of God to bring correction to "His" people through us no matter what the consequences shall be. And continually to diffuse the devils devise through the Gospel of Christ even when others that have compromised, lost or fell from the faith tries to muzzle the ox (prophet) that is treads out the grain (Word of God)...

There’s no need to add to it!

Your word, O LORD, is eternal; it stands firm in the heavens. Psalm 119:89 New International Version (©1984)

untitled Yesterday morning while on my way driving my son to school, he begins to explain to me that his teacher always says to him, he is the most quiet. I told him, I like to add something to his statement. He replies, "There's no need to add to it." In others words, what he said was enough. So it is with the word of God, no need to add to it; no need to take anything away. It has enough power to stand on it's own.

As I close Isaiah 55 says it best, how we can always confide in God’s word:

…so shall my word be that goes out from my mouth; it shall not return to me empty, but it shall accomplish that which I purpose, and shall succeed in the thing for which I sent it. (Isaiah 55:11 ESV)
